Piano Mirio – Pista Altomontana

Piano Mirio, Hiking Base Point located at 1,360 metres a.s.l. in the municipal area of Biancavilla, is a border area between the orchards facing South-West and the larch pine forest areas now part of the State Property. The 3,270-meters long trail unfolds on a small road. Hence, the Pista Altomontana can be reached at an altitude of about 1,700 m, near the S. Giovanni Gualberto refuge, after a roughly one-hour walk in the shade of the “Pineta di Biancavilla”.
